Apple Unveils the OS X Mountain Lion
Apple Mac OS X Mountain Lion
Apple has just unveiled the latest version of the Mac operating system OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion . This update is also interesting for iPhone users: Apple adds namely a number of features that are in IOS, such as the Message Center, Game Center, Notes, and Reminders Airplay.Apple replaces iChat for Messages, a chat program that allows iPhone users to chat.
Reminders and Notes
The Mac OS X applications for Notes and Memories seem like very Messages on the corresponding IOS version. Like the Notes app on the iPhone notepad right, while you left a note, tap.
Notes and Reminders will use icloud for any information on your iPhone and iPad are to sync with your Mac.
Message Center
The Message Center from iOS 5 will also be integrated OS X Mountain Lion. This will be important messages in the top right of your Mac Show, which you can view expanded in a panel on the right. It seems Apple Mac program Growl unnecessary.
Game Center
Game Center first appeared on the iPhone with iOS 4 and comes with Mountain Lion also to the Mac. The program combines performance and rankings of games, so you can compare with friends who have played the same games.
According to Apple Game Center will work cross platform. This would for example be possible to put it in a Mac version to compete against friends to the app on the iPhone or iPad installed.
Airplay Mirroring
AirPlay Mirroring ensures that the screen of your Mac directly to your Apple TV can be shown. This lets you use a TV as (extra) monitor to work, watch movies or a game for the Mac in the living room to play. It is with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 already possible to screen directly on the Apple TV to show, but for the Mac had so far alternative programs such as AirParrot used.
In Mountain Lion Twitter will be deeply integrated into OS X. This makes it easier for such an interesting link directly from Safari with your friends. Developers are free to use this Twitter integration, which will make such a Twitter Client automatically login.
Integration with Twitter debuted last October still in iOS 5 .
icloud
icloud was introduced in OS X Lion, Mountain Lion but will continue to be embedded in the OS.Imagine the Mac for the first time, you become just like on the iPhone directly asked for your icloud account. This will be your base settings are saved and you do it with a new Mac does not reconfigure.
icloud will also ensure that programs such as Notes and Memories to share their information with your iPhone, iPhone or iPod touch.
Messages
The Mac chat program iChat will no longer be present in Mountain Lion, but replaced with Messages. This program is very similar to iMessage on the iPhone and allows you to chat with friends on the iPhone and iPad via iMessage. It will also be possible to AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk and Jabber to use.
