Haptic Axon, an Hackintosh Touch Pad
All manufacturers have decided to launch their own shelf, which also includes lesser-known actors including Axon Logic. For indeed, it has offered few hours tablet Haptic, which does not lack originality because it is capable of running Windows or Linux as well … Mac OS X. Needless to say that those who appreciate the hackintosh will be delighted.
More broadly, the tablet Axon Haptic is compatible with all operating systems based on Darwin. This is precisely the case with Mac OS X. So of course later communication, Axon Logic does not tell you that it is legal – anyway it is not – but that argument is actually not bad showcased on their official website. It should be noted, moreover, they have taken the concept far enough since it is not without recalling the official website of Apple.
Side features art, the Haptic Axon offers:
- An Intel ATOM N270@1.6 Ghz.
- A resistive touch screen LED (with pen) 10 inches (1024 x 600).
- 2 GB of RAM.
- 320GB hard drive.
- A webcam of 1.3 MP.
- WiFi a / b / g / n + 3G (optional) + Bluetooth (optional).
- 3 USB ports, a VGA port, card reader, Ethernet port, a microphone.
- A battery of 3000 mAh.
All for $ 800 or $ 750 if you decide to order the tablet previewed. Suffice to say that it is a significant sum, especially if you consider a tablet as iPad is available from $ 499 . The other fault of the tablet, from my point of view on the screen used. A capacitive screen may well be the case on a smartphone , but on a shelf is already more embarrassing.
In my case, I confess that the Axon Haptic I was not at all convinced. A shelf-road ability to hold together three different environments, it’s interesting, certainly, but the price of the unit and its technical characteristics rather winded pushing me to go ogle the side of competition.
